The Whole House, In One Blend
A facade is the hardest reclaimed scope because it needs volume and consistency at the same time. The approach that works: name the blend, approve a mock-up panel, reserve the pallets under the project, and release them against the mason's programme.
New Orleans Hard Tans and St. Louis Reds are our usual facade recommendations-hard-fired, weather-tolerant, and available in quantity. Soft Reds work beautifully on protected elevations and garden walls.

Questions we get asked
How much brick for a full house facade?
At roughly 6.75 brick per sq.ft in running bond with a ⅜" joint, take your net elevation area after deducting openings and multiply by 6.75, then add 5–10% waste. A 2,500 sq.ft net facade is therefore around 17,000–18,500 brick. Send us the elevations and we will work it through with you.
Is reclaimed brick strong enough for a structural wythe?
Antique brick was structural for a century, and our harder-fired blends are genuinely robust. But structural use is an engineering decision that depends on your loads, your code, and the specific material — so it needs your engineer’s sign-off, not ours. Most modern facade work is a veneer wythe over a structural frame anyway, which is squarely what this material is suited to.
What about efflorescence?
Some is normal on any new masonry, reclaimed or not — it is salts moving out with water as the wall dries. It usually weathers off over the first year. Keep brick off the ground and covered on site, keep water out of the wall through proper flashing and drainage, and do not seal a wall that is still drying.
