Reclaimed Brick for New Construction
The fastest way to make a new house look like it belongs on an old street. Reclaimed brick on a new build costs less than most people assume, and it never reads as new.

New House, Old Bones
This is the A. Hays Town move: build new, but build with material that already has a history. Antique brick, flagstone thresholds, and salvaged stone details give a new house the settled quality that no manufactured product reproduces, because the wear is real.
The practical requirements on a new build are volume and timing. Engage at design development, approve a blend by mock-up, reserve the pallets, and release them to match the masonry programme.
Why projects come to us
Volume assembled early
The whole quantity pulled from one blend before the first pallet ships, so the facade agrees with itself.
Mock-up approval
A mock-up panel built and approved before anything is laid, which is the only sensible approval method on a new facade.
Coordinated details
Full brick, thin brick, paving, and stone from the same blends, so a facade can wrap into a porch, a terrace, and a garden wall as one material.
Held for the schedule
Material reserved and released against the build programme rather than sitting in your way or arriving late.
Specifications & coverage

Questions we get asked
Does reclaimed brick cost more than new?
Per brick, usually yes — ours start at $1.70. But the comparison worth making is against the premium end of new production, not against basic modular brick, because that is the look you are buying. Against a new brick chosen for character, reclaimed is often competitive, and the material arrives in 48 hours rather than on a 6 to 12-month lead time.
When should we order?
Earlier than feels necessary. Get the blend chosen and the volume assembled during design, and reserve it. In-stock material ships in 48 hours, so it is not the shipping that catches people out — it is discovering at framing stage that the blend they fell in love with does not exist in the quantity they need.
Can we mix reclaimed and new?
You can, and on some budgets it is the right answer — reclaimed on the elevations that are seen and touched, new brick where it genuinely is not. Be deliberate about where the transition lands, keep it at a natural break rather than mid-elevation, and mock it up first. Mixed unintentionally it looks like a mistake; mixed deliberately it looks like a decision.
