Reclaimed Material, Documented Properly
Reclaimed material is harder to specify than new because it cannot promise uniformity. The way through is to specify the range honestly, name the blend, and set approval by mock-up or sample board. We will help you write it that way.
We supply cut sheets, dimensional data, coverage calculations, mortar and jointing recommendations, sample boards for submittal, and photographs of the actual reserved stock.

Questions we get asked
Can you provide test data?
We can supply dimensional data, coverage calculations, and our own sorting and selection criteria in writing. Reclaimed material is not a manufactured product with a current batch test certificate behind it, so if your spec requires formal testing, that is commissioned on the actual reserved lot — tell us early and we will work out how to get it done.
Will you attend a design meeting?
Yes. Hays or Ben will join a call or a meeting to talk through blends, coverage, and what is realistically available on your programme. It is usually faster than three rounds of email.
How do we handle colour variation in the spec?
Specify the range rather than a single colour, name the blend, state the dimensional tolerance as acceptable — nominal ±¼" on antique brick — and set approval by sample board or mock-up panel. Written that way, variation is a specified property instead of a defect somebody has to argue about on site.
