A Floor That Starts Out Broken In
Brick flooring is the detail people remember in A. Hays Town's houses: a soft red floor running from the back hall into the kitchen, sealed just enough to wipe clean. We cut ours from the same reclaimed stock as our walls, so a brick floor can meet a brick wall and read as one material.
Installed over slab or a properly prepared subfloor with thinset, then grouted and sealed. It handles dogs, bikes, wet boots, and dropped cast iron.

Cut from full antique brick
This is not a tile made to look like brick. It is our own reclaimed brick, sawn thin, so the face is a hundred years of genuine wear.
Works with radiant heat
The thin profile and the mass of fired clay suit radiant floors well — brick holds heat and gives it back slowly.
Matches our wall stock
Cut from the same blends as our full brick and veneer, so a brick floor can run up to a brick wall and read as one material.
Low build-up
At ½" to ⅞" plus thinset, it adds very little height — which is what makes it workable in a retrofit where door thresholds and cabinet heights are already fixed.

Questions we get asked
Does brick flooring need to be sealed?
Yes. Use a penetrating, breathable sealer rather than a surface film — brick needs to let moisture move. We supply written sealing guidance with the order. Expect to refresh the sealer periodically in wet areas.
Is it cold underfoot?
Less than stone or porcelain. Fired clay holds warmth, so a brick floor in a sunny kitchen or sunroom tends to feel warm rather than cold. Over radiant heat it is genuinely warm.
How do you cut around cabinets and thresholds?
The same way as any thin tile — wet-cut with a diamond blade. Because the build-up is low, thresholds usually work out without dropping the subfloor. Plan the layout from the most visible sight line and let the cuts fall at the cabinet run.
How fast can material ship?
Once your invoice is paid we can have a truck on the road within 48 hours on stock material. Order processing typically runs 2–3 business days; large or custom orders may need longer, and we will tell you the date before you commit.
How is material packaged and delivered?
Everything ships banded and wrapped on pallets by palletized LTL or full truckload freight. Delivery is curbside only unless you arrange otherwise in advance. Freight is calculated on weight, destination, and delivery requirements, and quoted before you order. Inspect the load on arrival and note any visible damage with the driver before you sign the delivery receipt—that signature is what protects your claim.
